The new store enables consumers to experiment with a range of colour management tools, monitors, printers and various software options, with assistance and training from experienced Foto Riesel staff. Their images can then be printed at the highest quality possible and at any size, up to an impressive 1.1m x 12m.
Foto Riesel’s Managing Director, Mark Alderson said, “To the best of our knowledge, no one else in Australia offers this unique service and we are excited to be at the forefront of this level of customer engagement. The concept has developed far beyond our original expectations and we are excited to open a store that we believe sets a new benchmark in customer experience.”
“We will be offering custom fine art printing that caters specifically to the needs of customers who wish to see their images printed in large format and at the highest possible standard. We will also be selling customers the complete solution so that they can produce their images themselves at home or in their business,” added Mark.
Canon Australia’s Marketing Manager, Darren Ryan said, “Our joint research revealed huge opportunities to help consumers achieve their outcomes more effectively, so we are thrilled to have partnered with Foto Riesel to offer consumers this unique experience. By combining the talents of an established imaging supplier with Canon’s full range of digital imaging solutions, consumers will benefit from the advantages of Canon’s photography and output offering. This includes being able to work with the Adobe RGB (1998) colour profile and thereby maintain colour consistency from image capture through to output as a print or a projected image.”
Consumers will also have the unique opportunity to experiment with a range of state-of-the-art Canon printers, top-quality Canon inks and a huge selection of papers prior to purchasing their equipment.
To ensure high-quality, professional outcomes for all photographers, the new store will stock colour management tools, post-production software, graphic tablets and instructional books to assist consumers in establishing their own individual digital darkroom for fine art printing at home.
As an additional service, the Foto Riesel store will also offer training in digital output for consumers. Training opportunities will include one-on-one tuition for customers with specific training needs, through to small group workshops covering more general digital darkroom and output content. The store will also house a full range of solutions to allow customers to manage the full lifecycle of an image from capture to management to print.
The store will also offer exclusive access to Art on Demand. New to Australia, Art on Demand allows customers to select an image from a bank of well-known artworks and have a print made to order for their home or office. To enhance the custom printing service, Foto Riesel will also offer off-premises framing services, and will stock artwork hanging systems.
The new Foto Riesel Sydney store is located at 360 Kent St, Sydney 2000.
