Canon PowerShot G11
The PowerShot G11 comes with a 10.0 megapixel high sensitivity CCD sensor, DiG!C 4 processor that claims to deliver outstanding image quality and amazing low-light capability while reducing image noise and blurring.

It also includes a 2.8-inch vari-angle, high resolution LCD screen that lets users clearly see their shot, and features a 28mm wide angle lens and 5x Optical Zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer. Taken photos are saved as RAW files, giving users complete control over their photos.

Canon Australia’s Assistant Brand Manager for PowerShot, Anna Kalinowska said, “The PowerShot G11 expands the range of shooting for a compact camera like never before. Users can enjoy the high quality and features they’d expect from a DSLR in a compact body. The new high resolution 2.8-inch vari-angle screen will allow users to compose their shot at low or high angles, expanding their creative possibilities further.”

In addition, Canon has also launched the PowerShot S90 – a lightweight camera with a 10-megapixel CCD sensor, bright f/2 Canon lens, and full manual control.

“At a mere 175 grams, the S90 is the slimmest-ever PowerShot camera, and provides users with a high-end camera in a pocket-sized body. The compact, wide and bright f/2 Canon lens allows users to capture motion without blur as well as create shallow depths of field for professional looking shots. You can enjoy analogue-like operability with a new control ring and full manual control, as well as the best of digital technology like the huge 3-inch LCD screen and RAW shooting,” says Kalinowska.

Canon PowerShot SX20 IS: With 20x Optical Zoom
The company has also added two new models to its PowerShot SX series – the SX20 IS and SX120 IS.

The PowerShot SX20 IS sports a 12.1-megapixel sensor, comes with a 20x zoom and wide angle lens, Optical Image Stabilizer that reduces the effects of blur caused by camera shake, and HD movie recording with stereo sound. It also comes with a 2.5-inch vari-angle screen for more shooting control at angles or in crowds.

The PowerShot SX120 IS is an all-in-one camera with different modes for shooters of all levels. Combining a powerful 10x Optical Zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilizer, shots are crisp even at high zoom, so photographers of all levels can be confident their shots will look great. A huge 3-inch screen makes shots easy to see and review.

“Users can adjust the settings of the SX120 IS to suit their skill level, including point-and-shoot simplicity with Canon’s Easy Mode and Intelligent Auto or Manual control. This versatility makes it a great camera for families to explore and develop their photography skills,” says Kalinowska.

The IXUS 200 IS sports a 3-inch interactive touch LCD screen, different shooting modes and flash settings allowing users to easily snap the perfect shot. The IXUS 200 IS also includes HD movies that can be played back using the touch screen.

Canon Australia’s Brand Manager for Ixus, Kimberly Langton said, “The two new additions to the Ixus range are the most sophisticated and stylish Canon cameras yet. The IXUS 200 IS features Canon’s first ever touch screen in a digital compact camera, which makes taking photos more fun and intuitive than ever before. You can shoot or view photos with just a touch, and in addition, Touch Auto Focus lets you focus on and track moving subjects. With the IXUS 200 IS, it’s possible to capture so much more in every image, thanks to the 24mm wide angle lens and 5x Optical Zoom.”

The IXUS 120 IS has a super-slim 20mm body with a 28mm wide angle lens. This 12 megapixel camera delivers outstanding images while the 28mm wide angle lens lets users capture beautiful landscapes or great group shots. The slim IXUS 120 IS even fits in HD movie recording.

“At just 20mm thick, the IXUS 120 IS is slim in size, but big on features. Packing in a 28mm wide angle lens with 4x Optical Zoom, users can enjoy a flexible shooting range in a stylish, compact camera,” concluded Langton.
