Belkin has unveiled a number of new USB-C product accessories at CES 2016, supporting USB-C laptops, smartphones and tablets.The additions to Belkin’s USB-C range include its 4-Port Mini Hub, USB-C to HDMI Adapter, USB-C to USB-A Home Charger, USB-C to USB-A Car Charger and MIXIT USB-C cables.
Decked out with two USB-C and two USB-A ports, the 4-Port Mini Hub expands the functionality of USB-C-enabled laptops, connecting devices such as a flash drive, mouse, keyboard or printer.
The USB-C to HDMI adapter supports 4K resolution at 60 Hz, while the USB-C to USB-A home and car charging kits charge the latest USB-C-enabled smartphones and tablets, with each kit including a 1.8 metre USB-A to
USB-C cable and a charger offering a 2.1 Amp output for charging.
Belkin notes that the USB-A port is universal, meaning it can be used with other types of cables to charge smartphones, tablets, wearables, or other devices that charge via USB-C.
“USB-C eliminates the need for countless cables, making everyday functions simpler and easier,” Aaron Shooter, Belkin ANZ business unit manager, Synergy, commented.
“Our new range will help consumers adapt to this new technology, letting them connect, charge and transfer data rapidly and safely.”
Belkin states that its new USB-C range will be available in Australia by mid-2016.
