Samsung has revealed its new range of Notebook 9 laptops, including a 13.3″ version with a stylus – the devices will be further unveiled at CES early next year.
The Notebook 9 will be available in 13.3″ (weighs 995g) and a larger 15″ model (1,250g).
The devices are powered by 8th generation Intel Core i7 processors, and boast up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB SSD (NVMe PCle).
The 15” model can include a Nvidia MX150 dedicated GPU (2GB of GDDR5), however, this packs on an extra 40g.
Both screens feature 1080p resolution, and the 15″ model includes RealViewDisplay.
Both units boast 95% sRGB coverage (deltaE < 2.5) for striking image quality, with Samsung claiming brightness can notch 500nits.
The third variation is the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen 13.3″, which features a stylus (S Pen) and responsive screen. The device weighs the same as the other same sized model, however, has a smaller 39Wh battery.
On the Notebook 9 Pen, the screen flips 360-degrees, enabling consumers to use it as a laptop. Air Command support is also available.
The Notebook 9 laptops will also feature a backlit keyboard, two 1.5W speakers and a fingerprint sensor.
The larger 15″ model will also offer a Thunderbolt 3 port.
Samsung’s 2018 Notebook 9 and 9 Pen will first launch in Korea this month, and in the United States early next year. International consumers will have to hold their breath for a release date after CES 2018.
