Belkin has broke into the headphone business, with the debut of its new ‘Rockstar’ in-ear wired headphones at CES 2019 – equipped with either a USB-C or Lightning connector.
The headphones appeal to consumers who prefer wired headphones, following the absence of a headphone jack on new-generation phones.
Whilst Australian pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed, the product follows Belkin’s Rockstar Lightning Audio & Charge Splitter, which enables users to utilise their Lightning headphones while charging.
Belkin’s Rockstar In-Ear Lightning Headphones are scheduled to ship internationally later this year, followed by a USB-C version sometime after.
The MiFi certified Lightning headphones are sweat and water resistant, with silicon ear tips for an enhanced fit and noise isolation.
Belkin has also used CES 2019 to showcase its new BOOST↑CHARGE™ charging cables, including a USB-A to Lightning, USB-A to USB-C, and USB-C to Lightning, made with DuraTek.
The new range has been revamped to improve cable durability and strength, including a new leather strap to prevent tangles.
The range will launch in a new ‘speckled design’ in either 4ft, 6ft and 10ft lengths.
The tech accessories manufacturer has also debuted a new BOOST↑CHARGE™ USB-C Car Charger + Cable, and USB-C Home Charger + Cable.
Both products harness QuickCharge 4+ technology, facilitating faster charging – up to 50% in 15 minutes.
The device is compatible with all QuickCharge and Power Delivery devices up to 27W, and includes a 4ft USB-C cable.
Belkin has also used CES 2019 to showcase its new BOOST↑CHARGE™ Power Bank USB-C 20K with USB-C Cable – a high capacity powerbank which supports most USB-C devices – e.g. Apple Macbook, Nintendo Switch, 11-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd Generation).
Australian pricing and availability to be confirmed.
