LG’s popular hybrid smartwatch is reportedly heading down under after being released to overseas markets in 2018. No pricing released.
PC World reporters were on the floor at CES and representatives from LG Australia informed them that the W7 smartwatch will be heading our way soon.
LG W7 Watch combines Google’s WearOS with traditional analogue mechanical hands, so you can still tell the time when the battery runs out.
The W7 Watch is integrated with Google Assistant, has a water resistance rating of IP68 and an 1.2-inch LCD touchscreen.
It appears LG are planning to expand their smartwatch line with a new model that could include a camera in the watchstrap.
Last month, LG filed a patent for such a model that was approved and published late 2018, spotted by LetsGoDigital.
Of course, numerous companies file patents for numerous radial designs that never see the light of day, so while it’s a interesting design approach we won’t hold our breath waiting for it to arrive.
LG Watch W7 is currently available on the US Amazon sitefor US$449.99 and can be shipped to Australia.
