Today at CES 2019, Sony has announced new products heading down under including an 85″ 8K TV, a minimalist Glass Sound Speaker, soundbars, turntable, and more.
Sony has revealed the new MASTER Series Z9G 8K 85″ LCD available in the second half of 2019 and the MASTER Series A9G 4K OLED available in 55” and 65” from August and 77” from September. Pricing on both models is not confirmed.
The new “MASTER” moniker is only given to “the very best Sony TVs” and TVs in that range will also feature Netflix Calibrated Mode and IMAX Enhanced for a cinema-like experience at home.

Sony is also adding the A8G BRAVIA OLED 4K TV and X9500G and X8500G 4K HDR TVs to their line up in Australia and New Zealand, arriving from May 2019.
Sony has also announced that Apple’s AirPlay 2 and HomeKit will be coming to its Android TVs soon, meaning that users will be asking Siri — an Apple product — to control Android TVs.
Sony is also beefing up their audio products with the new elegant and minimalist Glass Sound Speaker, the LSPX-S2, a portable home speaker that produces 360-degree sound with eight hours of battery life. Available from July for SRP$699.
Sony invites audiophiles to bring their “vinyl into the present day” with the new Sony PS-LX310BT turntable with inbuilt Bluetooth transmitter to stream to the warm sound of vinyl to any wireless speaker, soundbar, or headphones (available May for SRP$299).
Sony offers up their new soundbars and wireless speakers for just such a purpose.
Sony’s new HT-X8500 (SRP $599) soundbar features Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support with a built-in dual subwoofer.
The EXTRA BASS wireless speaker line up has been refreshed with the addition of the “truly party-proof” SRS-XB32, SRS-XB22 and SRS-XB12 with prices starting from SRP $79 and boasting a long battery life of up to 24 hours.
Sony has announced five new models to its high power audio range with the MHC-V72D, MHC-V42D, MHC-V02 and a new outdoor party speaker, the GTK-PG10 which features a table and cup holders on a splash-proof top panel.

In addition to the new product announcements, Sony has also announced it is adding Amazon Alexa support to its WH-1000XM3 noise-cancelling wireless headphones — no date provided.
The omission of any news on PlayStation 5 from CES is surprising, as many had predicted that the global tech company would have announced something, after cancelling numerous other events and releasing an apparent teaser for the next-gen console before Christmas.
