5G Connectivity is finding its way into more and more products as CES goes on, and following Lenovo’s launch of the Yoga 5G, Dell was not to be outdone with the unveiling of its own next-gen connected laptop – The Latitude 9510.
Starting at US $1,799.00, the device will be made available globally on 26 March.
As part of the new Latitude 9000 series, the 9510 delivers 30 hours of battery life, a 15-inch display, a 10th gen Intel Core i7 processor and the star of the show, 5G connectivity.
The 5G-ready design complements its Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, with antennas built into the edges of the speaker, in order to maintain Dell’s InfinityEdge display.
In addition, Latitude 9510 also supports e-sim technology for even more connectivity.
Carbon blade fans and dual heat pipes help to maintain what Dell calls ‘cool-to-the-touch’ experience, which essentially boils down to no hot keyboards.
Obviously learning from the mistakes of the Apple MacBook Pro of 2019, Dell is looking to avoid the issues that come with thermal throttling.
As with several notebooks on the market, the Dell Latitude 9510 is available in either laptop or a 2-in-1 model for tablet use, though no word on whether the Digital Pen will be included or as an additional cost.
According to Dell’s research, the 9510 is the lightest and world’s smallest ‘ultra-premium business 15-inch PC’ at just 1.45kg and a width of just 340.4mm.
Built into the laptop is Intel’s Adaptix Technology designed to learn how you use specific applications and applying settings to improve the user experience.
The laptop can be configured up to 16Gb of DDR3 RAM, integrated graphics and up to 1TB of SSD storage.
Also featured are 2xThunderbolt 3 ports for power delivery and display, plus an HDMI 2.0 as well.
