Home automation Company Control4 is set to move into the appliance business, just when electricity prices are set to go through the roof.The Company who develops IP automation has delivered a new smart application to manage energy use. It also runs diagnostics for refrigerators and ovens.

It is not known whether the application will be modified for use in australia and Australian appliances.
The Smart Appliance Module is engineered by Card Access using its wireless networking design capabilities combined with Control4 ZigBee PRO mesh networking. The radio communications, firmware and Control4 driver capabilities enables the module to integrate into a Control4 system and enhance functionality of select Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances.
