US home automation company Control4 has added MQA streaming in its latest OS update, making it first to support the high-resolution audio format.
Control4 gained traction in Australia after buying in home audio visual company Leaf Audio in 2016.
The company has now updated its Smart Home OS to include native support for files using Master Quality Authenticated codec through Tidal Masters and other MQA-encoded files.
The Smart Home OS is designed to function as a hub for other connected devices, giving users control over a wide variety of devices throughout the home.
Smart Home OS 3 is available via authorised Control4 dealers, while those curious can experience the OS at one of Control4’s C4Yourself events on June 13.
