Dell Launches New PCs Powered By AMD Ryzen

Dell have announced three new PCs powered by AMD’s latest processors, including the chipmaker’s multicore Ryzen processor unveiled earlier this year.

Among the new PCs that Dell announced at this year’s Computex is the Inspiron Gaming Desktop, the company’s first desktop entry in its new Inspiron Gaming range.

Sitting at a more affordable price point than the company’s Alienware gaming range, the Inspiron Gaming Desktop features an AMD multicore Ryzen processor with SenseMI technology that is able to dynamically optimize power consumption, task routing and clock speeds.

While the Inspiron Gaming Desktop will launch at US$599.99 ($804), Dell is offering high-end configurations and options for expandability, including up to an 850 watt power supply to support dual discrete graphics, up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and ‘Ready for VR’ graphics cards.

Dell is also promoting the new Inspiron 27 7000 AIO (all-in-one) as being ‘Ready for VR’. It features a multicore Ryzen processor along with AMD Polaris RX500 Series graphics. The PC’s 27″ InfinityEdge display is “virtually borderless” and can be configured with up to 4K UHD resolution.

Rounding out the new PCs is the Inspiron 24 5000 AIO, which Dell said offers “the best video streaming”. It features a 7th generation AMD processors, AMD Polaris RX500 graphics and a 24″ InfinityEdge full HD touch display.

“Dell has experienced 17 consecutive quarters of PC growth by continuously innovating with our PC designs and experiences,” said Ray Wah, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Dell Consumer and Small Business Product Group. ”

“With more people than ever streaming movies, gaming and consuming VR content on PCs, Dell remains committed to providing the best visual and audio experiences and the new Inspiron All-in-Ones and Gaming Desktop bring that innovation mainstream,” Wah said.

All of Dell’s new computers feature one-look login using Windows Hello, Cortana far-field speech recognition, USB Type-C 3.1 ports and options to configure dual drive with SSD.

Pricing and availability hasn’t been announced for Australia, but Dell said they will become available worldwide in the coming weeks.
