Denon has announced another update to its line of powerful AV home theatre receivers due out later this year.

Hot on the heels of its recently announced X1600H ($1199) and X2600H ($1699) receivers due in August, Denon has announced the X3600H ($2199), a 9.2 channel AV receiver with 8 eARC HDMI (HDCP 2.3) inputs.

The new receiver is due to release locally in October.

Denon claims it can drive up to 180 watts per channel and supports DTS:X, Dolby Atmos with height virtualisation, and IMAX Enhanced sound technology.

Like its lower priced siblings, the X3600H will also support Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri for voice commands for those who don’t want to use the supplied remote or app.

In addition to the HDMI ports, the receiver also features USB, phono, optical, coaxial, and RCA connections, with an Auto Low Latency Mode for smoother gaming.

Wireless support comes in the form of Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and Denon’s Heos multi-room system.

The new receiver supports high-res audio in WAV, FLAC, ALAC and DSD files up to 2.8/5.6MHz.
