Denon has launched a new CD system which also offers wireless LAN connectivity, allowing you to stream music files from your PC or Internet radio to play on your system.
The S-52 system also features an in-built, top seating docking port for an iPod, and comes with a clock and two alarms with auto clock set and adjusts via Internet and FM/AM radio.
In addition to playing CDs, the system can play MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV and FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) encoded files. It also supports the Rhapsody music service. You can stream audio via Ethernet or wirelessly (the system is DLNA compliant). Other connectivity options include USB and RCA.
The system can be controlled via a remote, or via the unit itself.
Denon says the sound produced by the system is impressive for its size, with powerful bass and good adaptation to individual room acoustics thanks to the latest Audyssey Dynamic EQ, Spatial EQ and Bass-XT technologies.
