Sanyo has finally launched their new pistol grip Full HD video camera that was designed by women for women and is the lightest and slimmest HD video camera in the world.At the launch today in Sydney Sanyo Managing Director Bill Crichton, said that men have in the past have “predominantly designed digital cameras. This is despite the fact that women are big users of digital cameras. The new camera which has 30X zoom will retail between $349 and $599 and will be sold via mass retailers.
It is the world’s smallest, lightest and thinnest full HD camcorder. The Xacti VPC-CS1 is priced at $499.
All Xacti cameras are ‘dual cameras’, with both full HD camcorder and a digital still camera functions.
The CS1 is the smallest model yet. It is less than one inch thick – making it the thinnest and lightest ever full 1080p HD pocket camcorder, according to Sanyo. The camera is 8 megapixels, with a 38mm lens and10x advanced zoom.
Built-in features include Sanyo’s ‘Face Chase’ technology, colour targeting and a digital image stabiliser.
