Microsoft has announced a number of Skype updates for Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 8, including a new drawing feature.The Skype 2.24 release brings drawing to Skype for the first time, allowing users to “get creative and draw on a canvas”.
Users can “add silly touches to a photo or draw the fastest route on a map”, Skype states of the new feature.
While the update will debut on Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 8, there is no word yet as to a rollout for Android and iOS devices.
Other updates include the ability for users to automatically sign in using the Microsoft account linked to their Windows Phone 8.1 phone.
HD screen support will now see Skype “appear in all its glory”, while Windows Phone 8.1 will feature faster app resume time.
