Local bookstore chain Dymocks has launched a digital book service, allowing users to downloads books off the internet, offering up to 13,000 audio books and 120,000 screen-readable digitised offerings.The books – many supplied by US-based eBooks.com – can be accessed from in-store touch-screen kiosks or by downloading from the Dymocks website, CEO Don Grover said.

He said Dymocks wanted to compete better with “the likes of Amazon.com”. It had spent 30 months working on the project.
