Dyson has launched its CSYS task lights in the Australian market, with the collection comprising two free-standing models and a clamp light.Jake Dyson Light’s CSYS task lights employ heat pipe technology to direct heat away from their LEDs, and, with no bulbs to change, Dyson states that the high-power LEDs stay bright for up to 144,000 hours.
Among the lights’ features, they employ eight high-power LEDs to provide a warm white light, and feature a counterweight pulley system using gravity, not tension, to remain in position.
Axis Glide motion allows for the light to be positioned “exactly where you need with just the touch of a fingertip”, with the light moving vertically and horizontally along anti-friction bearings, with the weighted zinc alloy base rotating smoothly through 360 degrees.
They are also decked out with touch-sensitive, continuous dimming, while built-in memory recalls the most recent light level setting, and each LED is fixed in position, housed in a conical reflector to control glare.
The freestanding CSYS desk light is priced at $850 and the CSYS floor light at $1,200, with the CSYS clamp light, which attaches directly to a desk or table, priced at $850.
The lights are available in black/silver and black/black, with the desk variant additionally coming in white/silver, and have a two-year guarantee.
