ELAN Home Systems, a specialist in home audio/video systems, has released an in-ceiling speaker system to suit custom sound set-ups in smaller spaces and multiple dwelling units.The 7 inch ELIOS ES71C speaker is retrofitted into ceilings with a minimal 65mm of working depth. A 7 inch woofer outputs bass at 50 Watts that ELAN claims outdoes the commonly used 2.5 and 3 inch drivers used by other custom audio fitters.
A steel backing to the speaker ensures sound doesn’t leak into neighbouring rooms through the ceiling. At the same time, an additional pivoting tweeter can be aimed by the installer to tune the audio to fit the room it’s in.
A unique clamping system provides installers with a fast and reliable installation that avoids drywall crumbling and allows installation to only take minutes.
The ELAN ES71C two-way In-Ceiling Speaker is currently available in white for $549 a pair, and is distributed by Hi Fi and Video Marketing Pty.
