Recent research show that nearly three quarters of Australians listen to their iPod while commuting. And while this device can block off noise on public transport, it will only last as long as its battery life. Fortunately for us, Energizer understands our predicament and has launched an accessory for iPod that will keep it going.

The package comes with a charger and a pair of AA Lithium batteries. The charger is small and comes with a flip-down iPod docking station that can be adjusted to accommodate various models. According to Energizer, the portable charger is made for the iPod (with or without video), iPod nano, and iPod mini.
Charging an iPod can be done in three steps: slide the casing open to insert the batteries, adjust and flip the docking station, and connect the iPod to the dock. The charging icon will pop up if the battery is flat. Otherwise, your iPod will continue to play tracks while charging at the same time.

Overall, Energizer’s Energi To Go for the iPod is a neat product that lets the music play for hours. The only problem this portable charger has is that it is not compatible with the iPhone, the iPod Classic, the new iPod Nano, and the iPod Touch.
Users who own older versions of the iPod can take the plunge and purchase this nifty charger for $49.95.
