During PrintEx 2019, Epson Australia launched its compact commercial-grade photo printer SureLab D860, which is aimed at photographers, event management, business and retail.
The SureLab D860 will commence shipping in Australia in mid-August for a RRP of $6,495 and comes with a limited launch bonus package containing Order Controller Lite and five rolls of media.
Developed for companies who want to expand their business opportunities, while reducing cost and simplifying workflow, the D860 promises extended durability – enabling a lower total cost of ownership while enhancing functionality and quieter operation.
It suits photographers, photo shops, minilabs and copy shops, retail, as well as corporate and government customers that need to print material in batches or on demand.
It is also well suited for retail and event photo applications, where it offers a compact footprint, a fast start-up time, flexible output, and superior print quality.
The D860 also supports corporate and business imaging, including passport and ID photos, as well as product flyers and business cards.
It can output common 4” x 6” and 8” x 10” inch photo sizes, as well as small 2” x 3.5” and large A4 prints, with or without borders.
There’s a choice of gloss, lustre and matte media with output sizes that can be adjusted on-the-fly and the prints dry upon exit to be resistant to damage through scratching and moisture exposure.
It also outputs panoramic lengths that make it perfect for value-adding merchandise like specialty prints, invites, greeting cards, calendars and awards.
Convenient features include auto media loading and ejection, all front-loaded ink cartridges, and a front-mounted wastepaper bin that is emptied concurrent with the roll exchange.
It will also be shipped complete with Mac and Windows software, which enables it to be used with standard photo and graphic imaging software.
The printer is covered with a comprehensive on-site warranty for Australian and New Zealand customers, with service cover extendable up to five years via optional CoverPlus.
