Epson Australia has unveiled its 4K PRO-UHD projector range, which combines improved brightness, colour, and detail to deliver a 4K experience for home theatre setups, from $4,099 RRP.
The new range consists of three projectors EH-TW8400, EH-TW9400, and EH-TW9400W — W as in wireless for a wire-free setup.
4K PRO-UHD is a new umbrella term coined by Epson that comprises of technologies developed to power their latest generation of projectors.
These projectors are not native 4K, forgoing software processing to instead deliver enhanced resolution, HDR, and image processing via dedicated hardware processors.
4K PRO-UHD delivers dramatic detail by employing a new, accelerated version of its pixel shifting technology, dedicated hardware 12-bit digital signal processing and an advanced aspheric glass lens system.
The EH-TW8400 is both HDR10 ( High Dynamic Range 10) compliant and can display the full DCI-P3 colour gamut in Digital Cinema Mode — the colour standard used in commercial cinema – which Epson claims is 50% wider than typical 1-Chip Rec. 709 projectors.
The EH-TW9400 and EH-TW9400W are a step up over the TW8400, offering the same specs with rich black contrast, full 10-bit colour processing, 1,200,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 2600 Lumens of high white and colour light.
They also feature a wide lens shift of approx. 96.3% vertical and approx. 47.1% horizontal and 2.1:1 zoom with powered adjustment for easier installation and a claimed lamp life of 5,000 hours.
The EH-TW8400 comes in at RRP $4,099, the EH-TW9400 starts at RRP $4,799.00, and the EH-TW9400W has an RRP $4,999.00.
The new 4K PRO-UHD projector range is available now from epson.com.au and all authorised Epson retailers and resellers across Australia.
