Former MTV boss is Telstra’s new Head of IPTV and Pay TV.

Eric Kearley has just been announced as the telco’s new IPTV boss.
Kearley has a wealth of experience in the TV business under his belt and led TV channels in New Zealand including: TVNZ6, TVNZ7, TVNZU, TVNZ Sports Extra (FTA), TVNZ Heartland and TVNZ Kidzone24 (pay) in the linear channel environment.
His non-linear portfolio included TVNZ On Demand, tvnz.co.nz, a directorship on the Board of the TVNZ/Sky Television joint venture pay TV platform Igloo and several other partnerships.
Prior to TVNZ, Eric held the role of MTV Vice President, European Feeds, responsible for the MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon brands and channels across several (27) markets in mainland Europe and Africa.
From MTV, Eric was recruited by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen to turn around his central London creative hub, The Hospital Club.
