Aldi is set to sell an exciting new generation $799 Bauhn Android TV that that comes with Google Voice and Netflix on the remote, it’s the first of its kind.
The Bauhn will go on sale on Saturday, October 31st, 2019.
The new Aldi TV offering delivers the best of three worlds, a crystal clear and sharp 4K UHD display, built-in Google Voice and Netflix configured and approved by the US streaming Company. Currently, several TV brands are using a none approved Netflix app designed for mobiles to deliver Netflix on a TV.
We understand that It’s the first time that Google has approved its voice technology to be incorporated into a ‘value’ TV for sale in Aldi stores.
ChannelNews has already seen and played with this TV and if you are looking for a new 65” TV that has an extremely good display and runs what is a very slick and smart Android TV OS this TV is worth waiting for.
Also impressive is the new remote that is sleek and looks as if it belongs to a $3K TV.
Voice commands are easy via this new remote, all you do is pick it up ask what the weather is going to be, and it responds, you can use voice to navigate to Netflix or YouTube or even ask it to play jazz or rock and roll from Spotify.
The Android TV OS is very responsive and is Google’s way of turning your TV into a smart, connected streaming media player.
It has several features that make it stand out from the crowd.
Instead of a screen full of apps or widgets like search, weather, or stocks, Android TV’s home screen puts the focus on the content you can access via the new Bauhn TV whether it’s through one of your subscription services like Netflix or Google Play Music, or from your own personal media collection.
The apps are displayed as “ribbons” — a horizontally scrolling set of recommendations and recently viewed content from within a particular app.
Android TV on the Bauhn TV can access the Google Play app store, where you’ll find thousands of apps that have been designed specifically for Android TV’s which means you won’t be struggling to read tiny text or trying to navigate apps that only work when you can swipe with a finger.
The Aldi Bauhn TV is well worth the wait, trust me we see a lot of TV’s and is already a contender for the Value TV of The Year in our Best Of The Best SmartHouse Awards.
