It was one of the smartest products at this year’s CES show in Las Vegas, now LG is looking to roll out the award winning their 4K Ultra HD LG CineBeam AI ThinQ laser projector in Australia.
This is a laser projector that pumps a suburb 120″ crisp 4K image to a screen from just 18 centimetres away.
The white HU85LA projects the 120-inch-diagonal 4K image at 2,700 ANSI Lumens with the device set to retail for around $9,900, the Samsung 8K TV which is now being sold in Australia costs $100,000.
For custom installers the projector also features IP Control with Control4, Crestron and Savant capability built in.
Its minimalist design includes HDR10 high dynamic range which pump out deeper blacks in dark scenes and more life-like bright highlights.
LG claims that their CineBeam 4K laser projector, goes beyond the limits of DMD and the light source of existing blue laser with a new optical system that uses a three-channel laser for each RGB, for truer colour reproduction in its optimal design form factor.
The projector also has LG’s artificial intelligence (AI) built in similar to their top end OLED TV’s also built in is Google Assistant which allows users to control and content discovery through voice commands.
When a user searches for content, the projector automatically connects to streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube and Amazon as well as broadcast TV through its smart TV platform.
The included LG Magic Remote also provides the convenience of being able to implement both motion-based user interface and backlit functions.
According to LG Australia Marketing Director Angus Jones the new projector which proved extremely popular at CES is currently being shown to retailers.

The model, which was a 2019 CES Innovation Award winner, is set to be launched later this year.
