Days after rumours suggesting Apple is planning an iWatch, new information has emerged that Samsung is well advanced in delivering a Smartwatch of their own.At CES I was shown an image of what a Samsung transparent wearable smartphone could look like. The Samsung designers who showed me the image said they were currently working on “several” wearable technology ideas.
The Samsung designer who is currently working on the new Samsung Galaxy 4, said images on the new Smartwatch will not be affected by light as the OLED images are “very bright”.

Now new screenshots have emerged of a device called the Samsung Galaxy Altius, a device which delivers access to date and time, music playback controls, and email notifications.
Slashgear, who revealed the Samsung Galaxy Altius screenshots, suggest that the new device might be tied in with carriers. It also seems as though the device will support a cellular chipset, with a Wi-Fi symbol also present; whether this is indicative of on-board call capabilities, or merely present to provide a data connection can only be speculated. Each of the screenshots is also 500×500, which may also be indicative of the native resolution of its LCD display.
The screenshots also reveal the Galaxy Altius carries the “Samsung-GA7” codename, while the device is running an operating system labelled AltiusOS beta2. Although there are a handful of smartphones on the market, some have chosen to run a version of Android. In this case, it appears that Samsung may have developed an OS specific to the device itself, perhaps looking to maximize performance. Internal storage is 235MB, with 1.5 percent occupied by the OS.
