After accidentally stumbling upon three fake Apple stores in Kunming, China, local industrial and commercial authorities have begun an inspection targeting fake retailers.
The inspections have been carried out after American blogger BirdAbroad uncovered the convincing but unauthorised Apple stores in Kunming.
Upon being revealed as a phoney, angry customers are rushing back with receipts with intentions of getting a refund.
The stores were dressed in classic apple decorum, even fooling its staff members who genuinely believed they worked at an authentic Apple store.

The inspections will look into licencing, authorised brand use permits and the stock channel of each store according to a worker of the city’s industrial and commercial department. Between Beijing and Shanghai, Apple has four legitimate stores, none of which are in Kunming in the Yunnan province.
