The sports fans among Fetch TV subscribers just got more access to European soccer as the IPTV wholesaler expanded its sports content with the addition of football club channels from Manchester United and Real Madrid.
The company had previously announced Fox Sports News and club channels from Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona, to complement the rich sports available on free-to-air TV.
FetchTV provides access to digital free-to-air channels, subscription channels, video on-demand and interactive content via an unmetered broadband connection that is delivered to the TV in SD and HD quality with no downloading delays.
Scott Lorson, Fetch TV’s CEO said the company’s goal “has always been to complement the best FTA content with a quality offering of subscription channels that will appeal to the 70 percent of Australians that don’t currently have pay TV”.
The club channels feature highlights and each team’s domestic and Champions League action, as well as exclusive interviews, classic matches and insights from the training grounds.
iiNet customers will receive the football club channels as part of the FetchTV basic subscription which features more than twenty leading subscription channels including six video-on-demand channels, 30 free movies every month and access to new-release pay-per-view movies from major movie studios.
Lorson added: “This is a great start to our sports content with all the action from five of Europe’s footballing powerhouses and 24 hour sports news. With One HD featuring Arsenal TV and Liverpool TV on free-to-air, fans of the European football are increasingly well served.”
