Nicholas Cage is a gamble these days. Slamming down your hard earned cash for a ticket to one of his films isn’t a sure fire guarantee of excellence. While it is easy to forget he is an Academy Award winning actor from the pure mediocrity of some of his roles (can anyone say Ghost Rider?), he generally performs admirably.
