The LG – a tough phone with a broad frequency range designed for regional and remote users – was found by local farmer, Jeffrey Schmidt, in perfect working condition in spite of its burns.
“My son, who was travelling behind me, found the melted handset half open and to our amazement the light was still on. We were doubly shocked to find that calls could be made from the phone with perfect reception,” he said.
