A brand new HTC 4G smartphone has been revealed by Telstra today. The device which is extremely fast will go on sale in Australia next year.Shown to SmartHouse at a Telstra briefing, the device which will be called HTC 4G has a massive a 4.5-inch display, a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU and runs on the Android Gingerbread OS.
Telstra executives are tipping that the processor could be even faster by the time it is launched in Australia in 2012.

The device has a 4.5 inch screen, making it one of HTC’s biggest smartphones to date. Slim with a look more like the Samsung Galaxy S II, it has a raised bevelled back and an 8 megapixel camera.
A 4G speed test showed that the device is almost twice as fast as current model HTC 3G Smartphones making the new model ideal for viewing video content.
The new phone has Dolby + SRS Surround with noise cancellation which is ideal for streamed movies, live sports and TV shows.
The 8MP camera has an LED flash, in-camera editing, live picture effects, a 720p camcorder for shooting HD video and instantaneous uploads.
The device will run 4G and 3G in areas where 4G is not available.
