Whirlpool claims its new international-style cooktop will prepare fish in a flash thanks to the inclusion of an elongated burner.
The AKT920 is a 90cm gas cooktop that houses five burners, including a wok burner, as well as a hot plate specifically designed for cooking fish.
The elongated burner delivers heat evenly along the fish so each section is cooked perfectly, Whirlpool claims.
The AKT920 is styled to look like cast iron using Whirlpool’s Irontech trivets. This material minimises pot slippage and is easy to clean and maintain, according to Whirlpool.
There is also a ‘flame failure’ function that will automatically shut off the gas after three seconds if ignition is unsuccessful or the flame is extinguished.
