According to the company, 16 Chinese channels, 11 Singaporean and Taiwanese channels can now be accessed in full broadcast quality when users subscribe to iiNet’s fetchtv 2 service. FetchTV will also provide 14 Hindi television channels as well as 13 television channels popular in Pakistan including 10 in the Urdu language.
This service will be available on top of free-to-air digital channels and a range of subscription channels delivered over broadband for an additional $19.95 per month (per package) for customers who subscribe to iiNet’s fetchtv 2 service.
iiNet’s Chief Technology Officer Greg Bader said iiNet and FetchTV are leading the way in multicultural TV offering in Australia.
“We’re proud to be the first internet provider in Australia to offer this revolutionary television service that includes quality programming for Australia’s diverse population. Because we use the iiNet network, we can guarantee the quality of the transmission is comparable to digital broadcasts – it will feel like you are in Asia, India, or Pakistan watching television,” said Bader.
