Daily deals site spawns out of controversial click FrenzyIt is destined to be a “always on” marketplace, says Grant Arnott, founder of Click Frenzy, the ecommerce event which attracted over 1 million consumers on the one day shopping event that took place on November 14.
Click Mania launched yesterday, is different to Click Frenzy, and is a daily deals site rather than twice yearly event.
Click Mania website will run all year long, centered around community based bargains where the interactivity, social and sharing is the name of the game.

Click Mania also has book and entertainment, sports and fitness and fashion ad beauty categories.
The site, launched this week, was the result of of feedback from retailers, keen to runs promos outside the CF schedule, says Arnott. We also got a lot of inquiries from consumers between CF events, he adds.
“Click Mania is trying to create a user generated content environment,” he says. There’s a strong social aspect – users can share any bargain it has stumbled across on the Internet – the retailers does not have to be affiliated to Click Mania. But “we have placements for ads on the site”, he adds.
Arnott is expecting interest in Click Mania to be strong, but may be more gradual than the big bang that was Click Frenzy when over one million eager consumers’ poured onto the site both in 2012 and this year.
Several retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith and David Jones also kicked off their own non-affiliated ‘frenzied’ sales events last month, but the official CF event had more than 300 retailers take part – up from last year.
“There has been a lot of interest from CF partners, now we can give them something different”, says Arnott.
