The PC giant says its new all-in-ones are “cost, space- and energy-efficient alternatives to a traditional desktop” for consumers and pros.

The new lineup includes touch and non-touch PCs and include the high end HP Compaq Elite 8300, Compaq Pro 6300 with Intel Core processors inside, and ENVY 23 and Pavilion 23, both aimed at the consumer end.

The HP All-In-Ones are priced at A$1799 for ENVY 23 to $799 for the lower end Pavilion 23, while the Compaq Elite 8300 and Pro 6300 are $1599 and $1399, respectively.

“All-in-one form factor PCs are expected to grow in popularity, accounting for 27 percent of worldwide desktop PC sales by 2016,” said Danielle Levitas, IDC.

“This trend puts vendors with a broad offering of AIO products and options – like HP – in a very good position to meet that growing commercial demand.”

The 23″ HP 8300 multitouch PC features a full high-definition (HD) display with built-in 2 MP webcam (optional) and SRS Premium Sound PRO for excellent audio quality.

It also has optical technology for interactive healthcare, retail and other applications and its multi-gesture technology recognizes simultaneous input from more than one finger.

The business PC has VESA-compatible mounting, so is highly versatile.

The 21″ HP Compaq Pro 6300 is a ‘mainstream’ non-touch PC and has third- and second-generation Intel Core processors inside with optional discrete graphics.

Specs wise it has a HD LED backlit display, internal stereo speakers and optional 2MP webcam but also has added multilayered security features that safeguard data, devices and user identities including hard-drive encryption, HP Face Recognition, Disk Sanitizer and File Sanitizer, as does the Compaq Elite 8300.

HP’s consumer PCs ENVY 23 and Pavilion 23 feature full 1080p HD 23-inch diagonal displays, multi-core processors, advanced graphics and up to 2 terabytes (TB) of storage.

The more pricey HP ENVY 23 ($1799) free-standing display with edge-to-edge glass that can be wall-mounted and is a multimedia haven with Beats Audio and optional HDMI-in port, Blu-Ray disc drive and TV tuner.

The HP Envy is out in 13 August while the rest are due for arrival September and October next.

The PC maker is looking to reclaim some glory in the market after Apple knocked it off its perch with iPad tablet and Macs.
