In a bid to entice new customers, Pay TV provider, Foxtel, has today rolled out its new unlimited broadband and entertainment plans, said to offer “super reliable, super fast” streaming for “video hungry” Aussies.
The new plans claim to simplify Foxtel’s existing broadband offering, while providing an increased emphasis on entertainment video streaming.
New Foxtel Broadband nbn customers will receive ‘Plus’ speeds on all unlimited plans (nbn 50), with 42.4Mbps in peak periods – claimed to be five times the average Australian ADSL connection speed, and three times that of the Basic nbn service.
Existing Foxtel TV customers can upgrade to an unlimited Foxtel Broadband plan for an extra $75 per month [24 month contract], or an additional $65 when added to a no-lock in Platinum HD service.
The company claims Foxtel Broadband is “purpose built for entertainment”, and designed to stream the best in “sport, movies and TV” – e.g. every live game of the NRL, AFL, WAFL, F1, V8s, A-League and Super Rugby.
All of Foxtel’s ADSL Broadband plans come ‘nbn ready’, allowing new and existing customers to switch to the nbn network, without need to re-contract.
Further information, and full terms and conditions, are available on Foxtel’s website here.
