Foxtel has launched a new iPad TV Guide, it lets users search through program listings, set program reminders, and remote record shows to a Foxtel iQ set-top box.
Foxtel said that since launching in December 2009, the Foxtel iPhone app has generated over 200,000 individual downloads.
The subscription TV company, who is currently doing battle with Telstra’s BigPond Movie service, claims that the new app has been designed to take advantage of the larger touch screen and advanced capabilities of the iPad when downloading their TV Guide.
The App allows users to view content 14 Days in advance.
Foxtel has expanded the App to include their iSuggest functionality which is currently available on the iPhone.
Executive Director of Product & Sales at Foxtel, Patrick Delany said: “The iPhone Guide has been so popular with both Foxtel subscribers and non-subscribers that we decided to expand the application across multiple devices including the iPad, and for more mobile devices later this year.
