Fyne Audio has announced the F502SP, its first Special Production designated loudspeaker design. SP models incorporate select components and engineering from across the Fyne Audio range, personally tuned by Technical Director Paul Mills.
The F502SP borrows much of the driver, crossover and bass tuning expertise from Fyne’s F700 series and puts it into the more compact F500 series cabinet.
This limited production run loudspeaker, is designed and manufactured in the UK.
The SP model uses a 200mm IsoFlare driver, with a 25mm magnesium diaphragm compression tweeter and a 200mm bass/mid driver, derived from the F702. Merging the F702 technology into the F502 cabinet also demanded an exclusive crossover, notes the brand. Cabinet refinements are said to further elevate the bass performance
In celebration, the F502SP launches with a new finish option and unique driver trim. The SP is available in gloss black and gloss white as standard, or in a deep gloss lacquered walnut veneer previously seen on the premium F700 series. All F502SP finishes feature a diamond cut finish on an exposed aluminium driver chassis.
Local pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed.
