Android, 4.0 iPhones can get live coverage of the Australian Open 2011 as it happens this weekend on their 3G mobiles with Channel Seven coverage, live scores, results and video highlightson Optus TV and Video app, just announced.
Customers on the network will also be able to access the action between Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova and co via WiFi on their compatible mobile device or on the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
iPhone holders can download the app from iTunes while customers with select Android devices can download it from the Optus App Store.
“To ensure Optus customers can have the best possible Australian Open experience with friends and family via their mobile phones, we’ve also boosted mobile network capacity in and around Melbourne Park throughout the tournament,” said Optus’ Jann Kohlman.
The streaming package also offers news alerts sent to mobile devices and contains player profiles.
