The GPS technology company Garmin is making it easier for sports bra-wearing individuals to leave home without several gadgets to track fitness and accurate heart rate reading with the new HRM-Fit, which will record distance, pace, and stride length as well as log workout data like calories burned and intensity. The information tracked can be loaded onto a user’s Garmin smartwatch when back at home.
Garmin will be showcasing the new sports bra-compatible heart monitor at CES 2024 and while it is not yet clear whether it will be sold in Australia or what the price will be, in the United States the HRM-Fit will retail for USD $150 for a device Garmin says is a “first of its kind”.
According to Garmin, the company will announce some big news coinciding with introducing two new smartwatches, the Lily 2 for $429 and the Lily 2 Classic for $469, both available in Australia and on the Garmin website. Both are health-focused and come with sleep quality monitoring, heart rate recordings, and GPS.
The watches also feature move alerts that offer suggested activities, a sports app, and fitness tracking.
Along with the new products, Garmin is also to have a huge refresh coming up for the web and mobile versions of its Garmin Connect app.
Also, fitness enthusiasts can soon use the company’s homepage to review new personalised areas like Training Plans, In Focus, and Today’s Activity. The new update is already available to beta testers but should be available later this year for all users.
