An Australian company has launched a unique directory that allows you to find, listen and subscribe to podcasts or vodcasts without the need for a computer.
Melbourne-based company The PodLounge developed the service, which can be used on 3G phones with media players. There was also a version launched for the PSP – psp.thepodlounge.com – earlier this year.
Podcasting is a special technology that allows ‘podcasters’ to record audio or video episodes on any topic they like. Listeners can then subscribe to them and transfer them to a device such as an iPod and listen to it at their leisure.
The directory – which has been specifically tailored to fit onto the smaller screens of mobile phones – is available at mobile.thepodlounge.com
