If you’re planning to buy a new computer to go along with Microsoft’s upcoming Vista operating system, Pioneer Computers has the solution for you.
Although Vista doesn’t go on-sale at retail outlets until January 30, Pioneer began taking orders for notebooks and PCs running the new OS today.
Customers who order Vista PCs today will have the jump on the January 30 on-sale date, Pioneer managing director Jeff Li says.
Pioneer Computers has already taken “20 or 30” orders for computers running the new Vista operating system today, Li says.
The company has selected more than 10 models to ship with Vista already, mainly Intel models. Models from other manufacturers will follow suit shortly after Pioneer has sorted out Vista driver issues.
