The Samsung Galaxy S2, which is set to launched in Australia next month is set to give the new HTC Incredible S a run for its money despite the two running on the new Android Gingerbread OS.According to recent benchmark test the new Samsung dual-core device, has smashed all speed records for an Android Smartphone.
According to Russian journalist Eldar Murtazin, the new Galaxy S2 delivered exceptional speeds when tested using the Quadrant, Smartphone benchmarking Android app. It scored a massive 3053 on the Quadrant charts.

The device, which we will get our hands on shortly, runs a Samsung Dual Core Exynos CPU not theTegra 2 chip which was muted in February when we were first shown this device.
In the past the top single-core Android Smartphone has only managed a score of between 1,000 and 1,300 resulting in the new Galaxy S2 delivering faster 3D rendering and faster CPU speeds and enhanced performance.
The closest to the performance of the new Samsung Smartphone is the LG Optimus 2X which managed a score of just below 3,000. This Smartphone also has a dual core processor.
PocketNow claims that the blistering speed of the Galaxy S could be bad news for the HTC Sensation, a phone which HTC are not saying when they will launch in Australia despite it already being available in Europe and the USA.
PocketNow said that they tested the new dual-core HTC phone at the launch event, and they could only register a score of 1,226, which is even slower than the Nexus One.
I can already see a head to head review coming up between the Galaxy SW 2 and the new HTC Sensation when we eventually see it in Australia.
