This year, luxury Swiss audio brand Goldmund, has announced its Theia, Rhea, and Asteria wireless speakers, as well as its Pulp+ Hub Set wireless speaker system.
Now, the company is unveiling a new integrated amplifier, the Telos 690, which is claimed to offer a bridge between traditional hi-fi and modern digital sources.
It has connections for analogue RCA, digital USB Audio class 2.0, and Digital S/PDIF coaxial.
It doesn’t provide dedicated MM or MC phono inputs, A/B speaker connections, or switching.
The technology used significantly reduces intermodulation, improving the linearity of each stage, decreasing time distortion.
The device also uses a higher bandwidth circuit, complete with minimal group delay in the audio bandwidth.
The circuitry includes the latest version of Alize Digital/Analogue converter circuits, which improves coupling with the preamp section.
There are also separate input and output stages, which prevent feedback between high and low current circuits, improving mechanical grounding.
Additionally, there’s driver control which lowers the output impedance, providing a higher quality of micro-dynamics, assisting large woofers with avoiding overshooting and overloading.
The device has a dual 350VA Toroidal Power Transformer, as well as a 46,000 µF capacitor bank, which helps deliver improved dynamics, response, and clarity.
It has a maximum output power of 2 x 250Wrms on 8 Ω and 2 x 320Wrms on 4 Ω.
