The new 15.6″ gaming notebook Full HD IPS LED-backlit display, and is powered by potent 4th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M GPU that can be overclocked by up to 5% with ASUS TurboMaster technology.
It runs Windows 8.1, HD webcam and up to 5hr battery life, 3 X USB 3.0 ports and Blu Ray/DVD player.
Update: The new notebook goes on sale this month but pricing has been confirmed at A$1999 for G550JKCN217H/ $2699 for G550JK-CN147H.
G550JK keeps its cool with an intelligent dual-fan cooling system, uses two independent fans and copper heat-sinks to cool the CPU and GPU.
The screen also has wide 178-degree viewing angles, so is good for multi gaming and has an anti-glare coating.
Sound wise, this machine has powerful hi-fi audio with ASUS SonicMaster Premium incorporating ICEpower, Bang & Olufsen technology, and an external SonicMaster subwoofer.
ROG AudioWizard software controls the audio environment with five presets for different game genres.
The G550JK muscular low-profile aluminum lines and the signature ROG color scheme and illuminated logo on the lid.
It also has a one-piece chiclet keyboard, which is good for gaming in dark.
