Google who are undergoing a hardware realignment is set to launch A Nest Hub that comes with a 10-inch display according to a leak on their web site.
A visit to the Google Store reveals a new Nest Hub Max, which it says delivers a larger HD screen, stereo speakers and a camera for video calls. At this stage it’s not known when it will be on sale at J Hi Fi or The Good Guys.
the new Nest Hub Max will offer a larger and better display than the prior model that only had a 7-inch LCD display with a 1024×600 resolution, there is also a camera which was missing on the smaller sibling.
The Company has also moved to take on JBL with the introduction of an improved ‘full range’ speaker with stereo sound. Sound on the he previous model was pretty “crappy” according to several reviewers.
It also appears that Google is changing direction with their hardware marketing with the use of the name Nest Max Hub.
The inclusion of Google’s Nest company suggests the display will be more focused on smart home controls than the original. It’s possible Google is making some software tweaks to put smart home gadgets front and centre.
Since being exposed the device has been removed from their website.
It’s possible Google was (and still is) planning to reveal this device at the Google I/O keynote next month.
Earlier this month the Company discontinued their tablet range.
