Google has unveiled the latest additions to its Nexus family of smartphones in the form of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, built in collaboration with LG and Huawei, respectively.Both new Nexus smartphones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with the Nexus 5X the smaller of the two offerings, measuring in at 5.2″, with the Nexus 6P sporting a 5.7″ display.
The Nexus 5X, LG’s third collaborative effort with Google, sports a full-HD IPS (1920 x 1080) display at 423 ppi with in-cell touch technology, which LG states “enables faster recognition and crisper images”.
It is powered by a 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, comes with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM, internal storage of either 16 or 32 GB, and sports a 12.3 MP main camera and 5 MP front camera.

Both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P feature USB Type-C ports for fast charging, and include a new fingerprint sensor, Nexus Imprint, designed for quick and secure phone access.
The Nexus 6P, the first all-metal-body Nexus phone, sports a WQHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display at 518 ppi.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 810 v2.1, 2.0 GHz octa-core 64-bit processor, comes with 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM, internal storage of 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB, and is decked out with a 12.3 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera.
Australian pricing and availability for the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P has yet to be announced. US pricing for the Nexus 5X starts at US$379 and the Nexus 6P US$499.
