Long-standing speculation about whether Google will enter the smart watch market may finally be put to rest, according to new claims that its Google Pixel Watch is well on its way, and may arrive before the end of the year.
John Prosser of Front Page Tech claims to have seen images of the device, and has provided a slew of details, as well as artistic renderings based on the watch.
The images suggest the watch will sport a slimline, rounded face made of 2.5D glass, with no bezel, and a single crown on the right-hand side of the face. The watch appears to be buttonless, with a sleek, minimalist OS. Twenty different band designs will be available.
Prosser claims we’ll likely see the Pixel Watch this October, which lines up with their usual phone releases. The smart watch is rumoured to be officially announced in May, with the Google IO 2021 conference the most likely place for the tech giant to make the announcement.
The Google Pixel Watch will apparently be sold with the tagline: ‘Bringing unity to software and hardware.’
