Chrome has offically been released on Daydream VR enabled phones, finally providing a fully fledged browser experience without work arounds.
The release is another step toward Google’s goal of having all its applications available on all platforms.
Gordon Brander, Chrome UX engineer said “Chrome is built to be accessed across all types of devices and platforms, regardless of what operating system you’re on.”
Previously, Chrome was available as a test version or by navigating through to Chrome’s mobile app.
Now Chrome is a complete feature of the platform, with unique improvements specifically for Daydream headsets, including an automatically optimised ‘cinema mode’ YouTube viewing experience.
Users will also be able to use voice search, incognito mode, saved book marks and evey other feature in the desktop version.
