In what appears to be the end of Google’s wearable Glass project four years after it first began trials, the company has shut down several social media accounts linked to the headwear gadget.
Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts for Google Glass are said to be no longer active.
Google stopped selling Glass to consumers last year and the head of the Google X research lab has since then said that the hype surrounding the $1500 device became overblown, considering it was merely a prototype, not a finished product.
