Google has launched a series of interactive Android Wear watch faces as it seeks to enhance the “at-a-glance” experience of smartwatches.Google states the updates will make it easier for users to stay connected, providing a range of information and functions.
“Now, with just a tap, your watch face can change its design, reveal more information, or even launch a specific app,” Flavio Lerda, Android Wear software engineer stated via the Android blog.
The three new watch faces comprise the Bits, Under Armour and Together watch faces.
Bits allows users to access the information they want at a glance, from the weather to unread messages and upcoming meetings, with Under Armour providing fitness stats, while Together allows two people to stay in touch throughout the course of the day, turning the watch face into a space for sharing information.
Google states the updates will roll out to Android Wear smartwatches in the coming weeks.
